Choices changed my life. 
Life is about choices. Choices impact our future and future generations. God is about life: a renewed life, a restored life, a redeemed life with resurrection power by the Holy Spirit living in you when you invite Jesus into your heart. He gives the confidence and courage to be all that He has created you to be. Life empowered by God. It's a choice.

My parent's choice to turn to destructive relationships after their divorce prompted me to make the choice to move out of the house at sixteen. At the same age, losing my virginity through date-rape took me down a path of heartache and regret, while seeking what I thought was love. 

Thankfully when my fourteen year old sister chose to runaway my mother ended her controlling relationship, which brought me back home, but still heading down the road of destruction. After four long months of not knowing if my sister was dead or alive she made the choice to return home. Pregnant at the age of fourteen she chose life by giving birth to an adorable little boy whom she raised into a remarkable young man. Two years later I chose abortion. 

Unaware of God's immense love for me I struggled for significance for thirty-four years. My life changed when I made the choice to accept Christ's sacrifice on the cross for my sins, to ask for forgiveness, and invite Him into my life to have a personal relationship with the living God. Immediately I experienced His grace and mercy. He strengthened me with His power, peace, and presence through my ongoing struggles as I read His Word, followed His ways, and devoted time in nurturing my relationship through prayer. A choice that changed my circumstances. 

My past pain of date rape, my parent's divorce, choosing abortion, and living by the world's standards has created in me an awareness of the challenges that face our society today. I write and speak from the pain of being lost to the victory of being saved from eternal separation from a Holy God, healed of my past shame and pain, and transformed into the unique, empowered woman God created me to be. I live today to bring hope, healing and wholeness to a hurting world.
 
Married twenty-five years, now the mother of four teenagers, my husband and I persevered through our marriage struggles caused by the wrong foundation. God healed us from taking the life of our unborn child, to trust Him with no income for a year, to surrender our five year old son who battled leukemia, to depend on Him for a move to a new country, and to change the unhealthy dynamics of our relationship.

God resurrected our marriage from the dead, delivered me of my past pain and shame, healed my son from cancer, and demonstrated His faithfulness over and over again. God is faithful, He is personal, and He wants a relationship with you. A choice that will change your life.

I attended Kirsten's course, "Empowered to Love like Jesus." I had not attended a class in many years. I was drawn by the title. Who doesn't want or need to Love like Jesus? Her lessons brought me to a place of humility, and understanding. I looked at myself, I needed to change. Her lessons were loaded with Scripture, I had no excuses. I thank the Lord for Kirsten, for her Love of Jesus has empowered me.
