Are You Ready?
Is Jesus coming back? For centuries prophets foretold of Jesus first and Second Coming. Seven hundred years before Christ died on the cross Isaiah told of how the Messiah would be pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities, and that the punishment of our sin would be upon him to bring us peace.

The apostle John in the book of Revelation revealed details of Jesus Second Coming in splendor and glory. Jesus himself had conversations with his disciples preparing them for his departure and his return.

The question arises, Will Jesus return soon? Of course, no one knows for sure. But consider the words of Jesus as he spoke to his disciples when they asked about the signs of the end times.

Jesus answered, "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come" (Matthew 24:4-14).

No one knows when the end will come, but Jesus said in John chapter fourteen, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going...I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him" (John 14:1-4,6-7).

Have you accepted the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross on your behalf by taking all your sin upon himself to give you peace? Invite Jesus into your heart to be forgiven and set free from your sin. The Bible says, "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved," (Romans 10:9).

"At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory," Matthew 24:30.

Jesus is coming back. Are you ready?

God's Word To Live By:

Mark 14:62
Jesus said, "And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven,"

Proverbs 3:5,6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make your paths straight.

Revelation 22:7-19,
"Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book." I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me. But he said to me, "Do not do it! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers the prophets and of all who keep the words of this book. Worship God!"

Then he told me,
"Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

"I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."

The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.
